Milton L. Cruz, Esq., Chairman, President, and CEO
Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer.  Mr. Cruz was President and CEO of Puerto Rico’s premier hospital network for 10 years, the San Pablo Health System.  The System was majority-owned by the Cruz-Rosario Group and sold to Universal Health Services, Inc ( NYSE: UHS), the USA’s third-largest hospital management company.  Mr. Cruz served as UHS CEO for the PR market for over six years.  After Mr. Cruz’s tenure as CEO of UHS operations in Puerto Rico, he acquired a hospital that had financial challenges.  When the hospital’s financial situation improved, he sold the hospital to a multi-hospital company.  Thereafter, Mr. Cruz founded and operated Estancia HomeCare, a Medicare Certified Home Health Care Agency, which he later sold to Amedisys ( NASDAQ: AMED).

Mr. Cruz was Chairman and President of the Puerto Rico Hospital Association and President of the Puerto Rico Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives.  He holds a Masters of Laws from Georgetown University, a Juris Doctor from Boston University, a BA from Mercer University, Macon, Georgia, and a Masters of Health Services Administration from the University of Puerto Rico.

Mr. Cruz is admitted to the practice of law in the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Federal District Court for Puerto Rico, the U. S. First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Cruz has received numerous awards and recognitions, including, Top Management Award, Top Ten Business Leader of PR, and the Regent Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mr. Cruz is a Fellow of The American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Home/Hospice Care Executive.

He has been involved in philanthropic and non-profit activities as chairman of SER de Puerto Rico (medical, therapeutic and educational services to persons with disabilities) and Board Member at Foundation for Puerto Rico, Insignia Foundation and Mercer University.

Aileen Rosso, MBA, Director
Aileen is a prolific businesswoman with experience in construction management, information technology, finance, real estate, and operations. With over 30 years of management experience, Aileen brings to Insignia her deep knowledge acquired in different industries, including her time at the Procter and Gamble Company.

Aileen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She has the Certified Commercial Investment designation from the CCIM Institute in Chicago. Mrs. Rosso is also a Graduate of the Realtors Institute. Mrs. Rosso is active in her community through different engagements in several non-profit organizations.

Henry Ruberté, Chief Operations Officer

Chief Operating Officer, Medholdings. Inspired to become health services administrator while assigned to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. Additional military hospital experience at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, and Dwight Eisenhower Medical Center in Augusta, GA.

Began healthcare career as Manager of Operations of Kelsey Seybold Clinics and was later recruited as Director of Patient Services at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston, TX. Thereafter managed various acute care hospitals in Puerto Rico.

Mr. Ruberte is a licensed Hospital Executive in Puerto Rico and a Certified Healthcare Executive with Fellow status of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He has served on the Board of Governors of ACHE and was a member of the finance committee.

He was President of the Puerto Rico College of Health Services Administrators in 2000. ACHE Regent for Puerto Rico from 2009-2012.

Walter Esquivel, Senior Advisor
Chief Operating Officer.  Former Executive Director of the Glavin Center for Global Management at Babson College.  Mr. Esquivel also served as Luksic Director of the Institute for Latin American Business (ILAB).  Prior to joining Babson, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Navex, developed a successful “container logistics” business in Costa Rica consisting of an ocean shipping agency (Sea Land Service, Inc.), inland transportation, container storage, and repair, and stevedoring services.

Mr. Esquivel served as Chairman of the Board of CINDE.  He also served as President of AMCHAM (American Chamber of Commerce), which together with the other AMCHAM’s of the region, has been instrumental in promoting a Free Trade Agreement with the USA; and has served as a Board Member in a variety of industries such as banking/finance, food processing, and a manufacturing Free Zone development company.

He participates actively in YPO (Young Presidents Organization) and WPO (World President Organization) to nurture and mentor the entrepreneurial spirit.  He is fluent in three languages (English, Spanish, and French).  Mr. Esquivel earned a B. A. from California State University at Long Beach and attended the PAG (Programa de Alta Gerencia) Executive Business Program at INCAE.

Gabriel L. Cruz, Managing Partner

Gabriel serves as Managing Partner of our Investment Division, Medholdings Capital, and as an advisor to various of Medholdings’ portfolio companies where he provides strategic, financial, and operational support. Gabriel joined Medholdings following multiple years in the investment banking industry, most recently at J.P. Morgan where he served as a member of the Global Healthcare Investment Banking team in San Francisco. Prior to working at J.P. Morgan, Gabriel worked at Citibank, as a member of its Latin America Coverage and M&A Investment Banking team in New York City. Gabriel earned a B.S. in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Healthcare Management & Policy from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Oscar J. Santiago, CPA, Comptroller

An experienced financial leader with broad experience in different industries managing diverse teams, mergers and acquisitions, and startups ensuring business goals and growth-focused in maintaining the financial sustainability of the organizations. 

Oscar has worked for large corporations such as Price Waterhouse Coopers, Chevron, and Puma Energy, performing different corporate positions with excellent results, reporting directly to top management.  He has strong knowledge in multicultural business structures and leadership, supporting operations across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Latin America.

Krystal Garcia, Director of Community Relations
Mrs. Garcia has a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Translations and a minor in Languages from the University of Puerto Rico. She has a Master’s Degree from Charles III University in Madrid in Customer Relationship and Business Management, CRM.

Joan Rodriguez,  Accountant
Mrs. Rodriguez has over six years of experience in the accounting and taxes field. She supports the Accounts Payable and Accounting Department. She has a Bachelors’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, Bayamón Campus.

Delixa Cruz, BA, Business Office Manager / President’s Assistant

Mrs. Cruz has a Bachelor’s Degree in Office Systems from the University of Puerto Rico, Bayamón Campus.

Jorlanet Alicea, Human Resources

Jorlanet is a Human Resources and payroll professional for Medholdings and its subsidiaries.

Christian Feliciano, Marketing Director

Christian is a Digital Marketer with over ten years of experience. He has worked in the hospitality industry and in boutique and large-scale marketing agencies both as a creative and an account executive. He is in charge of digital marketing efforts at Medholdings. Christian has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Puerto Rico, Ponce campus. 

Erica Odiot Rincón, Program Quality Director

Erica is a leader in Professional Geriatric Care Management and Psychogerontology. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences an M.A. in Gerontology from Nova Southeastern University and an M.Sc. Psicogerontology from the Complutense University of Madrid. Erica has a background as an Administrative Assistant and Activities Director. She has been with Insignia since 2015 when she started as an Intern.

Jomaris Vargas, Digital Marketing Coordinator

Jomaris, is a University of Puerto Rico graduate that specializes in Marketing. She also has a master’s Degree in Digital Marketing from the Universidad de Sagrado Corazón. She has experience working as a marketing specialists, sales and administrative duties. As the Digital Marketing Coordinator, she is in charge of projecting our values and service onto social media.
